A Strategic Resource for ETF Digital Asset (Crypto-Currency) Investors

Crypto Morning Daily

Crypto ETFs traded lower on June 2 as weakness across the broader digital asset market weighed on fund performance. Spot Bitcoin ETFs declined roughly 2.7% on average, with the largest products—including BlackRock’s IBIT (-2.7%), Fidelity’s FBTC (-2.7%), Grayscale’s GBTC (-2.7%), and ARKB (-2.6%)—all posting similar losses. Investor sentiment remained cautious as IBIT experienced approximately $68 million of daily outflows, while FBTC saw roughly $32 million of outflows. Ethereum ETFs were comparatively resilient, falling less than 1% on average, with ETHA (-0.6%), FETH (-0.6%), and ETHW (-0.7%) posting modest declines. Notably, Fidelity’s FETH attracted approximately $10.5 million of inflows, partially offsetting broader weakness across the sector.

XRP and Solana ETFs also moved lower alongside their underlying assets. XRP-focused funds generally declined between 1.5% and 1.7%, while leveraged XRP products posted larger losses, including XXRP (-3.7%) and UXRP (-3.4%). Solana ETFs outperformed Bitcoin-related products, with spot and staking funds such as BSOL (-1.2%), GSOL (-0.8%), and SOLZ (-1.0%) experiencing relatively modest declines. Leveraged Solana exposure through SOLT fell approximately 2.0%, reflecting the amplified impact of the underlying asset’s weakness.

Leveraged cryptocurrency ETFs were among the weakest performers of the day. Bitcoin leverage products including BITX (-5.4%), BITU (-5.3%), and BTCL (-5.3%) significantly underperformed spot Bitcoin ETFs as the decline in Bitcoin prices was magnified. Ethereum leverage funds such as ETHU (-1.3%) and ETU (-1.3%) also posted larger losses than their spot counterparts. Overall, the ETF market reflected a broad risk-off environment, with spot crypto ETFs declining modestly while leveraged products experienced disproportionately larger drawdowns amid continued pressure on Bitcoin and other major digital assets.

Cryptocurrency markets moved lower overnight, with total market capitalization falling from $2.51 trillion on June 1 to $2.47 trillion on June 2 as risk sentiment remained weak across major digital assets. Bitcoin led the decline, falling 2.2% to $69,332 and extending its seven-day loss to 9.5%, while Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Cardano, and Polkadot also traded lower. Despite the broader market weakness, several infrastructure, AI, and identity-focused tokens continued to outperform. NEAR Protocol was among the strongest large-cap gainers for a second consecutive day, rising 14.5% over the past 24 hours, while Internet Computer (ICP) gained nearly 7% and maintained positive weekly momentum. Humanity (H) remained the standout performer, with its seven-day gain exceeding 200%, highlighting continued investor interest in identity-related projects. On the downside, Stellar (XLM) was the session’s biggest decliner, falling 10%, though it remains up more than 50% over the past week, suggesting profit-taking after a strong rally. Sector performance was mixed, with Layer-1 and DeFi assets generally under pressure, while select infrastructure and AI-linked projects continued to attract capital. Overall, the market remains in a corrective phase, but investor interest in emerging AI, identity, and blockchain infrastructure themes continues to provide pockets of relative strength amid broader weakness.
