As of March 16, 2026, cryptocurrency ETFs and underlying digital assets showed generally positive momentum alongside a broader 2.4% increase in total crypto market capitalization to $2.58 trillion. Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $73,239, gaining 2.0% over the past 24 hours and 7.3% over the past week, supporting activity in spot Bitcoin ETFs. Among the largest funds, the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) closed at $40.37, while the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) traded at $61.98 and Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) at $55.47. Over the past week, IBIT recorded approximately $313.0 million in inflows and $730.6 million year-to-date, while FBTC saw about $34.2 million in weekly outflows and $1.21 billion in year-to-date outflows, and GBTC experienced roughly $35.4 million in weekly outflows with about $749.4 million in year-to-date outflows.

In the Ethereum ETF segment, Ethereum (ETH) rose 6.7% in the past 24 hours and 12.3% over the past week to $2,259, supporting pricing in Ethereum-linked ETFs such as ETHA ($15.89), ETHE ($17.11), and FETH ($20.96). Weekly flows were mixed, with ETHA seeing about $22.4 million in outflows and $640.2 million in year-to-date outflows, ETHE posting $15.0 million in weekly outflows and $95.7 million in YTD outflows, while FETH attracted roughly $30.5 million in weekly inflows though remaining down about $263.6 million year-to-date.

Across the broader crypto market, major altcoins also advanced, including Solana (SOL) up 5.2% over 24 hours and 10.5% over the week to $93.18, Cardano (ADA) up 8.7% daily and 11.8% weekly to $0.29, and Polkadot (DOT) up 12.5% over 24 hours to $1.60. Meme tokens also rallied, with Pepe (PEPE) surging 19.7% in 24 hours and 23.5% over the week, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) gaining 7.6% daily and 17.1% weekly, highlighting continued risk appetite in speculative segments of the market. Overall, gains in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other large-cap tokens, combined with mixed ETF flows, indicate continued investor interest in digital asset ETFs despite ongoing reallocations within major funds.

In the DeFi sector, Chainlink (LINK) rose 3.8% to $9.63, Aave (AAVE) increased 5.4% to $118.96, and Uniswap (UNI) gained 2.8% to $4.07, while Cronos (CRO) rose 1.8% to $0.08 and OKB edged up 1.4% to $98.05. Within metaverse tokens, performance was generally positive, led by The Sandbox (SAND) up 5.5% to $0.09 and Chiliz (CHZ) up 4.5% to $0.04, while Internet Computer (ICP) rose 0.2% to $2.68, Axie Infinity (AXS) gained 0.7% to $1.24, and Klaytn (KLAY) increased 0.9% to $0.06.
