Crypto ETFs posted mixed results in the latest trading session on October 19. Bitcoin and Solana funds generally advanced, XRP ETFs edged higher, and Ethereum funds declined. Available flow figures showed continued withdrawals, with substantial outflows from BlackRock’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs despite Bitcoin funds’ modest price gains.
Bitcoin ETFs generally gained 0.3%–0.4%. The iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) rose 0.33% to $46.30, Fidelity’s FBTCadded 0.41% to $71.14, and ARKB advanced 0.44% to $27.12. Bitcoin futures fund BITO gained 0.37%, while leveraged funds BITX and BITU increased 0.70% and 0.77%, respectively. Gains came alongside withdrawals: IBIT recorded $71.8 million in daily outflows, while BITX lost $11.8 million. Most conventional Bitcoin funds remained down approximately 1.6%–1.8% over the week, indicating that the session’s improvement only partially offset recent weakness.
Ethereum ETFs underperformed, with most conventional funds declining approximately 0.7%–0.9%. The iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) fell 0.73% to $54.11, Fidelity’s FETH slipped 0.75% to $23.82, and Grayscale’s ETHEdeclined 0.78% to $19.19. Leveraged funds suffered larger losses, with ETHU down 1.41% and ETHT down 1.62%. The NEOS Ethereum High Income ETF (NEHI) held up better, losing 0.33%. ETHA reported $69.7 million in daily outflows, while ETHU attracted approximately $241,000. Most conventional Ethereum funds were down roughly 4.4%–4.6% for the week.
XRP ETFs recorded modest gains. GXRP rose 0.22%, XRPZ gained 0.14%, and TOXR added 0.08%, while XRPCwas nearly unchanged, up 0.02%. The REX-Osprey XRP ETF (XRPR) advanced 0.28%. Leveraged products were mixed, with UXRP gaining 0.47% and XXRP declining 0.12%. Funds with available daily flow figures reported no net creations or redemptions. Despite the session’s gains, most conventional XRP ETFs remained approximately 5.1%–5.3% lower over the week.
Solana ETFs delivered comparatively stronger gains. BSOL advanced 0.56% to $14.36, GSOL rose 0.51% to $7.87, and SSK gained 0.64% to $14.05. Fidelity’s FSOL added 0.57%, while leveraged SOLT increased 1.02%. Nevertheless, BSOL recorded $12.7 million in daily outflows. Most conventional Solana funds remained down approximately 3.1%–3.5% over the week, underscoring that the daily rebound had yet to reverse the broader pullback.
Cryptocurrency markets softened Tuesday morning following Monday’s rebound, with total market capitalization down 0.5% over the latest 24 hours to $2.83 trillion. Bitcoin traded at $81,296, down 2.0%, while Ethereum fell 2.6% to $2,377. Both were below Monday’s 6:00 p.m. readings of $81,911 and $2,399, respectively, showing that some of the prior session’s gains had faded. The reported percentage changes represent rolling 24-hour performance, rather than the overnight move.
Weakness extended across most major tokens. Solana declined 1.8% to $103.75, XRP slipped 1.9% to $1.29, and Hyperliquid lost 2.5% to $78.09. BNB was nearly unchanged at $726.15, while TRON edged 0.3% higher to $0.33. Weekly performance remained subdued: Ethereum and XRP were each down 5.3%, Hyperliquid had fallen 5.2%, Solana was lower by 3.0%, and Bitcoin had declined 2.7%.
Selected altcoins continued to outperform. MemeCore led the listed notable gainers, rising 6.3% to $0.78, although it remained down 10.1% over seven days. Worldcoin advanced 5.3% to $0.53, extending its strength following Monday evening’s reported 10.9% daily gain. Monero climbed 4.2% to approximately $615, bringing its weekly advance to 13.5% and standing out against the broader market’s weakness. Polkadot and Pepe each added 1.3%.
Losses were sharper among several other altcoins. NEAR Protocol dropped 7.3% to $4.70, Celestia fell 7.0% to $0.61, and World Liberty Financial declined 6.1% to approximately $0.05. Quant lost 5.3% to $192.04, leaving it down 13.4% for the week, while Bittensor retreated 4.5% to $261.77. Celestia nevertheless retained a 2.2% weekly gain, illustrating the uneven performance beneath the headline market decline.
Payments and decentralized finance tokens offered pockets of strength. EOS rose 4.8%, while Monero and TRON also advanced; Stellar fell 1.9% and Dash eased 0.2%. In DeFi, Convex Finance gained 3.8% to $2.12 and Curve added 2.4% to $0.36, lifting their weekly returns to 7.6% and 3.8%, respectively. Lighter, Wormhole and Compound posted smaller gains, although Wormhole remained down 32.7% over seven days. Overall, Tuesday’s snapshot showed broad pressure on major cryptocurrencies alongside selective strength in Monero, Worldcoin and several DeFi names.
