The crypto ETF market was mixed yesterday, with Bitcoin products holding close to unchanged while Ethereum, XRP and Solana funds declined. Most spot Bitcoin ETFs moved within approximately 0.2% of the prior close, although covered-call and income-oriented funds showed slightly wider variations. Despite stable prices, Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $245 million in reported net outflows, led by $201.2 million from IBIT and $43.7 million from FBTC. BITB provided the main offset with an $8.4 million inflow. Longer-term demand remained positive, with the Bitcoin category attracting approximately $189 million over the past week and $2.87 billion over the past month.

Ethereum ETFs generally declined about 1%, while leveraged Ether funds fell approximately 2%–2.8%. The category experienced roughly $16.8 million in net daily outflows, largely reflecting $13.9 million withdrawn from ETHU and $7.4 million from ETHE, partially offset by a $4.8 million inflow into FETH. Ethereum’s longer-term performance remained strong, however, with most spot funds still up approximately 28% for the month and 25% over three months. Reported weekly and monthly flows were also positive at approximately $405 million and $1.45 billion, respectively.

XRP ETFs fell approximately 0.7%–1.4%, while leveraged XRP products declined as much as 2.9%. Nevertheless, the category attracted approximately $12.1 million in daily inflows, led by XRPZ and GXRP. Solana ETFs declined roughly 0.5%–0.9%, with leveraged funds falling about 1.2%–1.3%. Solana products generated approximately $4 million in net inflows as a $6.2 million allocation to BSOL outweighed a $2.2 million withdrawal from SOLZ. Overall, the session reflected softer crypto ETF performance but continued selective demand for XRP and Solana exposure, while Bitcoin and Ethereum products experienced net redemptions.

The cryptocurrency market was modestly higher early Thursday, September 3, with total market capitalization increasing 0.2% to $2.69 trillion. The advance followed a relatively quiet Wednesday session marked by increased derivatives activity: aggregate derivatives volume rose 14% to approximately $206.9 billion, including gains of 22% in Bitcoin volume and 35% in Ethereum volume. Market sentiment remained firmly positive but eased slightly, with the Fear and Greed Index declining to 71 from 73, while approximately $251 million in liquidations reflected continued volatility beneath the market’s relatively flat headline performance.

Bitcoin rose 1.2% to $77,610 but remained down 3.1% over seven days, while Ethereum gained 0.8% to $2,394 and was 5.6% lower for the week. Solana advanced 1.8% to $100.27, BNB gained 2.7% to $701.34, and Avalanche increased 2.2%. Cardano led the larger Layer-1 assets with a 6.6% daily gain, followed by Hedera at 4.4% and Polkadot at 3.1%. Sui was the session’s strongest notable performer, rising 6.8%, while Celestia and Sei gained 6.4% and 4.1%, respectively. Despite those advances, most remained lower over the past week, suggesting the move was primarily a short-term rebound rather than a broad trend reversal.

Performance elsewhere was mixed. Uniswap declined 2.0% but retained an impressive 34.4% seven-day gain, while Sky fell 5.0% and Canton dropped 3.0%. Metaverse tokens were generally subdued, with Klaytn, Chiliz and Axie Infinity posting modest gains as Internet Computer declined 1.6%. Overall, the market showed improving risk appetite and broad participation among altcoins, but weekly losses across Bitcoin, Ethereum and several major Layer-1 networks indicate that the broader cryptocurrency market remains in a consolidation phase.
