A Strategic Resource for ETF Digital Asset (Crypto-Currency) Investors

Crypto Morning Daily

The cryptocurrency ETF market traded modestly higher as Bitcoin and Ethereum continued to attract the strongest investor interest, while Solana and XRP lagged. Total cryptocurrency market capitalization increased 1.7% to $2.29 trillion. Bitcoin traded near $64,613, up 0.8% over 24 hours, while Ethereum gained 1.8% to approximately $1,905. Solana declined 1.1% to $73.24 and XRP ended the prior session near $1.06 after falling 1.1%. The mixed performance suggests investors continued rotating toward the two largest digital assets while remaining more selective across higher-volatility alternatives.

Bitcoin ETFs posted broadly consistent gains of roughly 0.9% to 1.0%. The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF rose 1.0% to $36.74, Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund gained 0.9% to $56.42, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust advanced 0.9% to $50.19, and Bitwise Bitcoin ETF added 0.9% to $35.18. Fund flows were constructive, led by approximately $170 million of daily inflows into IBIT and another $19.6 million into FBTC. IBIT has now attracted roughly $729 million over the past month and more than $3.4 billion over the past year, reinforcing its position as the category leader. Most spot Bitcoin funds were up approximately 5.3% to 5.5% for the month, although three-month returns remained close to negative 21%, showing that the recent improvement has only partially offset earlier weakness.

Ethereum ETFs were the strongest major category. The iShares Ethereum Trust ETF gained 2.3% to $14.48, Fidelity Ethereum Fund rose 2.3% to $19.08, Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF advanced 2.3% to $15.45, and Bitwise Ethereum ETF gained 2.2% to $13.71. ETHA recorded approximately $42.5 million of daily inflows and has accumulated about $385 million over the past month and more than $2.1 billion over one year. Most spot Ethereum ETFs were up approximately 12.6% to 12.9% for the month, substantially outperforming Bitcoin products over that period. Despite the strong monthly rebound, the category remained down roughly 19% over three months, highlighting the continued volatility of Ether exposure.

Solana ETFs were relatively resilient even though the underlying token declined. The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF gained 0.5% to $10.18, the Grayscale Solana Staking ETF rose 0.4% to $5.63, the Solana ETF advanced 0.5% to $7.45, and the Fidelity Solana Fund gained 0.3% to $8.79. Weekly performance was close to flat, but most Solana products remained down approximately 7% to 8% over the past month and around 13% over three months. Bitwise’s BSOL continued to lead the group with approximately $269 million of year-to-date inflows, while Fidelity’s Solana fund held roughly $81 million in cumulative inflows.

XRP ETFs were the weakest major spot category. Canary XRP ETF declined 1.0% to $11.34, Franklin XRP ETF fell 1.1% to $11.61, Grayscale XRP Trust ETF lost 1.2% to $20.71, and the Volatility Shares XRP ETF declined 0.8% to $5.85. Most spot XRP funds were down approximately 2% for the week and between 1.4% and 1.8% for the month. Longer-term performance remained more challenging, with three-month losses near 24% to 26%. Franklin’s XRP ETF continued to lead the category in cumulative demand with approximately $187 million of year-to-date inflows, but the broader group has yet to establish sustained positive momentum.

Leveraged crypto ETFs amplified the day’s underlying moves. The Volatility Shares 2x Bitcoin ETF gained 1.9%, ProShares Ultra Bitcoin ETF rose 1.9%, and the T-Rex 2X Long Bitcoin ETF advanced 1.6%. Leveraged Ethereum products performed even better, with ETHU rising 4.7%, ETHT gaining 4.2%, and ETU advancing 4.1%. Solana’s leveraged funds posted smaller gains, with SOLT up 1.1% and SLON rising 0.6%. Leveraged XRP products moved sharply lower, with XXRP declining 1.9%, XRPT falling 2.2%, and UXRP losing 1.7%. The results again demonstrate that daily leveraged products can significantly magnify gains and losses and may produce very different outcomes from spot ETFs over longer holding periods.
Among the broader cryptocurrency market’s notable gainers, Monero rose 3.4% to $364.18, while gold-backed tokens also performed well as PAX Gold gained 2.9% to $4,266 and Tether Gold advanced 2.8% to $4,254. Axie Infinity was another standout, rising 5.3% to $0.89. On the downside, Canton fell 8.0% to $0.10, while Aave, Stellar and Cardano each declined 3.9%. Shiba Inu slipped 3.4%. The divergence between strength in gold-linked tokens and weakness across several altcoins suggests investors remained selective and continued favoring defensive or higher-quality exposures.

Overall, the crypto ETF market remained constructive but uneven. Bitcoin ETFs continued to attract meaningful institutional inflows, while Ethereum delivered the strongest price performance and monthly momentum. Solana ETFs held up better than the underlying token but remained weak over longer periods, and XRP products continued to struggle. Leveraged ETFs magnified all of these moves, reinforcing their tactical nature and elevated risk profile.
