ETFs
Crypto-linked ETFs remained under pressure, with price performance broadly negative across major products and fund flows continuing to trend lower. Spot Bitcoin ETFs declined roughly 1% on the day, with iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) closing at $40.11 and Fidelity’s FBTC at $61.61, both down more than 7% over the past week and over 21% on a one-month basis. Three- and six-month returns remained deeply negative, with most Bitcoin ETFs down more than 30% over three months and nearly 40% over six months. Relative strength indicators across the category remained depressed, with RSI readings near 25, suggesting oversold conditions but little evidence of near-term momentum reversal.
Flows data reflected continued investor caution. Despite modest one-day inflows into select products, weekly and monthly flows were decisively negative, with IBIT posting approximately $115 million in weekly outflows and more than $800 million in monthly redemptions. Year-to-date flows remained negative across several spot Bitcoin ETFs, even as longer-term one-year flows were still positive for early-launch products, indicating that recent selling pressure has been driven by short-term risk reduction rather than a full unwind of longer-term allocations. Overall, the ETF market continues to mirror weakness in underlying crypto prices, with investors maintaining a defensive stance amid sustained drawdowns and elevated volatility.
Digital Assets
The cryptocurrency market showed modest stabilization overnight, with total market capitalization rising 0.5% to $2.42 trillion as of 06:00 ET on February 10, following a weaker close the prior evening when market cap declined 0.5% to $2.47 trillion. MYX Finance declined 3.9% to $6.03, Pi slipped 1.4% to $0.14, and SEI and Polkadot both posted additional modest declines.
Sector performance was mixed. Within DeFi, Chainlink rose 0.7% to $8.54, Cronos gained 1.9% to $0.08, and Uniswap advanced 1.2% to $3.37, while Filecoin outperformed with a 2.5% increase to $0.92. Aave was little changed at $109.07. Metaverse-related tokens showed signs of stabilization, with Internet Computer up 0.9% to $2.36, Axie Infinity gaining 3.1% to $1.51, and The Sandbox rising 2.0% to $0.08, while Chiliz declined 1.4% to $0.04.
